On the 2nd of February the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, in cooperation with the Croatian Young Professionals and Students Network, hosted a book and project launch.
Dr Dina Mehmedbegović presented her recently published book A study in attitudes to languages in England and Wales: 'Who needs the languages of immigrants?'. Dr Mehmedbegović, who started her academic career in Osijek, is a Lecturer at the Institute of Education University of London Education Research Unit, LCLL.

On the 2nd of December an exhibition 'Celebrating Dubrovnik' was opened in the Croatian Embassy in London. The exhibition was organised by the British-Croatian Society and the Croatian Embassy in London with the aim of promoting the longstanding British-Croatian links and their continuous strengthening as well as marking the twentieth anniversary of the attack on Dubrovnik.

An exhibition celebrating the 300th anniversary of Ruđer Bošković's birth was opened at the Royal Society in London on 23rd of November 2011.
This exhibition is dedicated to a renowned Croatian physicist, mathematician, astronomer, Jesuit and diplomat who became a member of the Royal Society in 1761 and left an important mark in Croatian, British and international science and culture.

Exhibition of Croatian UNESCO WORLD Heritage sites and concert of Croatian composers performed by the Rucner String Quartet to mark the completion of Croatia’s accession negotiations with the EU
The exhibition of Croatian UNESCO Heritage sites features the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the Historic Centre of Porec, Historic City of Trogir, Split with the Palace of Diocletian, Old City of Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Stari Grad Plain and the The Cathedral of St James in Sibenik. It shall be opened to the public from the 15th to the 25th of November in the Europe House in London. The concert shall be held on the 18th of November.

Lecture by dr. Ivan Mirnik on the image of Roger Boscovich on Croatian medals
On the 18th of October, Dr Ivan Mirnik of the Zagreb Archaeological Museum gave a lecture on the image of Roger Boscovich on Croatian medals on the invitation of the Royal Numismatic Society. His well-received lecture vividly brought to life Roger Boscovich, a renowned Croatian theologian, physicist, astronomer, mathematician, philosopher, diplomat and a poet, as a person and as a scientist to the assembled academics and Croats living in London.

A memorial for dr. Branko Franolić
Croatian Ambassador welcomed the family, friends and admirers of Dr Branko Franolić in the Embassy on the 18th of October. Gathered honoured dr. Franolić and celebrate his life by dedicating a model of Falkuša, (donated by dr. Marko Krznarić i Radovan Katić) a traditional Croatian fishing boat, to his memory.

Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic, upon invitation of the organizer, visited yesterday, September 13, the International exhibition of defence and security equipment DSEI, held in London, where Patria and Djuro Djakovic special vehicles Consortium exhibited armoured combat vehicle and presented the visitors the possibilities of its production. On this occasion, Minister Bozinovic held a meeting with the CEOs and top officials form the Finnish Patria, Norway's Kongsberg, German Rheinmetall and representatives of the British ministry for trade and investment which organized the exhibition.
